Merry Christmas

Last year, I wrote about my 12 all-time favorite Christmas songs but then this season, a new one popped up out of absolutely nowhere - and I gotta admit, it’s already making a hard charge at landing on my all time list. God knew it’s been a rough year for all of us, so he gave us an early Christmas present as Ed Sheeran teamed up with Elton John on “Merry Christmas,” which was released on Dec 3. Some quick bullet point notes/thoughts: Ed Sheeran and Elton John announced the release of the song with a “Love Actually” inspired teaser video back in November. Apparently Elton John asked Sheeran about doing a Christmas song last year and Sheeran wrote the chorus that same afternoon. That kind of talent and ability always amazes/impresses/inspires me.
